Cinnamon Star Parfait ingredients

I used to think that in order to have a delicious vegan dessert for the holidays I needed to plan way ahead of time and cook for a few hours. After a few trial-and-error recipes and concoctions, I proved myself wrong. Eventually, I managed to create one of my favourite holiday recipes.

We are taking your regular chia pudding to the next level and making it super Christmassy. A simple trick will put you on the other side. And the great thing is that it will take you about 5 minutes to prepare this delicious vegan Christmas dessert.

I am using almond milk for this recipe just because I think it's the one that goes best with cinnamon. But if you either are on a nut-free diet or if you have another plant-based milk that you prefer feel free to swap it up.

I don't know if anyone feels the same way, but for me cinnamon and ginger are the ultimate flavours of Christmas. I guess it is the cozy warming feeling both have is what makes these two spices so perfect for the colder season.

So, to go from regular chia pudding to holiday dessert, of course, I added a dash of cinnamon. But not only that, I needed a bit of a crunch to the pudding. So I got vegan cinnamon stars from the store, I chopped them into little pieces and sprinkled the crumbs over the chia pudding.

If you can't find vegan cinnamon starts easily don't waste your time going from one shop to another. Sometimes, I add vegan gingerbread or ginger snaps. Whatever Christmas cookies you can get your hands on will work just fine.

I like decorating each serving to make things even more festive. Also, the table looks so incredibly beautiful when you go the extra mile. So make sure you don't crush all your cookies, save a few for decoration.

This easy and simple dessert will save you loads of time in the kitchen. Time you can spend with your family or just having a bit of a rest from all the craziness of the holiday season!
