This protein banana nice cream is the treat you need this summer. We have a simple recipe that takes just a few minutes to make and it's everything nice cream should be! It is vegan, healthy, creamy, and absolutely delicious!
I was very intrigued by this nice cream thing when it first started to become popular. When I first tried some it was so delicious and it had a beautiful smooth and creamy texture almost the same as regular ice cream.
When I found out how nice cream is really made, I was so surprised. I couldn't believe it was so simple and easy to make such a delicious treat. So, of course, I made a recipe for all of us to spread the joy of this delight.
You all know that I try to sneak in the healthy-factor in most of the food that I cook. I think we can still eat super delicious vegan meals that are easy to make and good for the body. And we can even include dessert on the package!
This vegan ice cream is the perfect example! With this recipe, you will have a guilt-free vegan ice cream made in the comfort of your own home. And the great thing is that it can be made in less than 10 minutes with simple ingredients. The only downfall of this recipe is that you will want to make it on a daily basis!
You can find a lot of nice cream recipes on the internet and most of them are made with banana. Well, that's the key to a sweet and creamy nice cream, frozen bananas! When you blend ripened bananas you get a super smooth silky texture with a sweet touch.
There are times when I skip the rest of the process and I end up eating just plain banana nice cream. But, to make it even more delicious we are adding a few extra ingredients to the mix so we get a super healthy protein ice cream.
For extra sweetness, I threw in some dates and for extra protein, I added a tablespoon of protein powder. We have plenty of protein in this recipe since the peanut butter is also contributing to this. I only added half a cup for the perfect balance.
We love the combination of banana and peanut butter, it's like they were meant to be together. Not only the taste is great but you are adding nutrients on nutrients when you have these two together. I used the chunky kind but you can use whatever you already have at home.
Regular ice cream requires a whole lot of churning. Well, among the many great things of nice cream there is the fact that you can avoid this step. We can simply put everything in the blender and press a button until the consistency is right. How good is that?!
I usually make the batch and stock it in the freezer for a little bit. This way I can enjoy it without worrying about melting. Sometimes, I cannot resist myself and I end up stuffing my face straight away!
